Obituary of Jimmie Ray Sothen

Jimmie Ray Sothen, II, age 54, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born November 2, 1962 in Germany, a son of Jimmie Ray Sothen, Sr. and step mother Pearl of Volga, WV and the late Ruth Eneth Scott Sothen. On November 28, 2008 he married Joanna Kittle who survives. In addition to his father, step mother and wife, he is survived by five sons, Justin Williston and Dustin Sothen both of TX, Jimmie Sothen, III of Buckhannon, Eric Richards of Fairmont, WV and Josh Perry of Morgantown, WV; five daughters, Alexis Sothen of WA, Amanda Frey and husband Jon of KY, Angel Cicero of Rock Cave, WV, Danielle Hardway and husband Cole of Buckhannon and Tiereney Sothen of Buckhannon; eleven grandchildren and one on the way; three brothers, Ricky Sothen and wife Kimberly of VA, Jamie and Samuel Sothen both of Volga; two step brothers, Brandon Siron and wife Brittany of Buckhannon and Robert Siron of Beckley, WV; two sisters, Darlene Bosley and husband Joseph, Jr. of Buckhannon and Renate Black and husband Mike of Buckhannon and numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmie was a truck driver and a Christian by faith. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 11 AM until 1 PM with the funeral service beginning at 1 PM with Pastor Michael Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery in Buckhannon, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
