(Selbyville) June Rowan June Rowan, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, January 2, 2012 at Victoria Manor in Buckhannon. She was born August 2, 1925 in Selbyville, WV, a daughter of the late Gorden and Nola Kittle Crites. On December 26, 1942 she married Elmer Earl Rowan who preceded her in death on December 9, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Elbert Crites and one sister, Virginia Booth. She is survived by two foster daughters, Patty Kelley and husband Randall of Buckhannon and Barbara Wheeler of Vermont; one sister, Ruby Parsons of Astor, FL and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rowan was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist Church, the Tallmansville Home Extension Club and the Pythian Sisters. She loved quilting, gardening and playing the piano. Friends will be received Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Darrel Gooden and the Rev. Timothy Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery at Selbyville.
