Obituary of Roberta Rae Wilfong

Roberta Rae Wilfong, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her home in Buckhannon. She was born February 1, 1942 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Otto and Lurettia Watson Kasten. On June 3, 1960 she married Lonnie Wilfong who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Sandy Hinzman and husband Dan and Connie Clem all of Buckhannon and Teresa Light and husband Steve of Jane Lew, WV; four grandsons, Cody Clem and wife Jennifer, Joshua Clem, Ethan Clem and fiancé Madison and Jacob Hinzman all of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Kelsey Hinzman of Buckhannon and Isabella Light of Jane Lew; two great granddaughters, Brooklynn and Braelynn Clem both of Buckhannon; two brothers, Freddie Kasten of Buckhannon and Kenny Kasten of Charleston, WV; one sister, Laura Jean Sweeny and husband Bill of AZ and a beloved dog Bear. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons; infant Edward Ray Wilfong and Allen Lee Wilfong; and two sisters, Marcella Dalton and Vera Wentz. Mrs. Wilfong was a retail clerk at Kasten’s Bargain Center and a member of the Women of the Moose and past Senior and College of Regent for the Moose Lodge #598. She enjoyed sewing, camping and spending time with her family. Honoring Mrs. Wilfong’s wishes, she will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
