Obituary of Marilyn Virginia Meadows

Marilyn Virginia Meadows, age 61, of Elkins, WV died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born January 25, 1956 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of Margerite Virginia Harris Zirkle of Belington, WV and the late Ishmael Worth Zirkle. On August 19, 2010 she married Billy Meadows who survives. Also surviving is one son, Charles Simmons, III and wife Beatrice Marie of Buckhannon; one grandson, Konnor Simmons of Buckhannon; three brothers, Roger Zirkle and wife Laurie of IA, Bobbie Zirkle of Rock Cave, WV and Larry Zirkle and wife Leona of Mabie, WV; one sister, Roberta Lee and husband JR of Durham, NC and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Zirkle. Mrs. Meadows was a homemaker and a member of the Good Shepherd Assembly of God. She was well known at the Elkins flea market where she would paint and sell crafts and she was famous for her pepperoni rolls and creamy peanut butter fudge. Friends will be received Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Camp Church Cemetery in French Creek, WV. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
