Obituary of Janet Lee Black

Janet Lee Black Janet Lee Black, age 73, of Tallmansville, WV died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at her home. She was born May 21, 1942 in Upshur Co., WV, a daughter of the late Hobert and Lottie Simmons Montgomery. On August 14, 1959 she married Ralph Gene Black who survives. She is also survived by one son, Michael Black and wife Renate of Buckhannon; one daughter, Tammy Hawkins of Tallmansville; two grandsons, Nicholas Hawkins and wife Letetia of Buckhannon and David Hawkins of NC; one great grandson, Matthew Hawkins of Buckhannon; one great granddaughter, Emma Hawkins of Buckhannon; one sister, Violet DeBarr of Duck Creek, WV and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Garnet Wayne and Claude Montgomery and two infant sisters, Leatrice and Shelby Montgomery. Mrs. Black was a Library Clerk for the Upshur Co. Board of Education and a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Buckhannon. Friends will be received Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Tallmansville Baptist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
