untitled1 Mary Pauline “ Polly” Malcolm Ritter Mary Pauline “Polly” Malcolm Ritter, age 89, of Hartsville, SC died Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Hartsville, SC. She was born August 20, 1921 in Hattiesburg, MS, a daughter of the late Rev. Monzell and Thelma Courtney Malcolm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Edsel, Junior, and David Scott Malcolm and sister, Sarah McCaskey. She is survived by her husband, Paul B. Ritter, Sr.; sons, Ronald L. Ritter and wife Viola of Aurora Grande, CA, Paul B. Ritter, Jr. and wife Johanna of Hall, WV and Michael L. Ritter and wife Judy of Elkins, WV; daughters, Sondra Sue Gay and husband Thomas of Danville, VA and Thelma Sisson and husband James of Hartsville; brother, Paul Wayne Malcolm of Port Charlotte, FL; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ritter was a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star, The DAR, The Teter CEO’s, and the Women’s Club of Buckhannon, WV. She also volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Bethany Baptist Church in Hall, WV with the Rev. Robert Poling and the Rev. Craig Marshall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Chesterfield County, Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
