Obituary of Betty Louise Reed

Betty Louise Reed, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the home of a special family member. She was born September 11, 1931, in Lantz, WV, a daughter of the late Granville and Edna Tenney George. On June 4, 1948, she married Paul Freeman Reed who preceded her in death on November 25, 2015. Surviving are special family members, Clinton and Judy Peck, Olivia Spencer and husband Nathan, Dillon Peck, Jeremiah Spencer and Joy Spencer (on the way) all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Jean Smith of Fairmont, WV and Vera Wilfong of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother William George. Mrs. Reed was a seamstress. In honoring Mrs. Reed’s wish, she will be cremated. A memorial gathering will be held from 1-2 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Mt. Union United Methodist Church with a memorial service to follow at 2 PM with the Rev.
