Genevieve Zickefoose, age 85, of Tallmansville, WV died Monday, June 20, 2016 at her home. She was born March 24, 1931 in Queens, WV, a daughter of the late George and Lona Koon Kirby. On March 20, 1948 she married Bailey Jeral Zickefoose who preceded her in death on February 23, 2005. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Debra Zickefoose of Queens and Kathy Crites and husband Kirk of Tallmansville; two sons, Bailey Gerald Zickefoose, Jr., and Cindy Swecker of Mill Creek, WV and Gregory George Zickefoose of Queens; five grandsons, Jerry Alan Zickefoose of Elkins, WV, Michael Hunt and wife Lisa of Belington, WV, Ryan Zickefoose and wife Nichole of Queens, Chad Zickefoose and wife Michelle and Josh Zickefoose all of Buckhannon, WV; two granddaughters, Gina Teter and husband Gene of Elkins and Amanda Hunt of Frenchton, WV; great-grandsons, Christian, Bailey, Trentyn, Bryce, Gabriel, Logan, Landen and Kanen; great-granddaughters, Destiny, Bethany, Saphire and Payton and five brothers and sisters. Mrs. Zickefoose was a homemaker. She was a member of the Tallmansville CEO’s and a lifetime member of the Harmony UMC in Queens. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
