James Maxwell Edmond James Maxwell Edmond, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at his home. He was born September 6, 1939 in Philippi, WV, a son of the late Odbert and Marie Boehm Edmond. On August 29, 1959 he married Nancy Joann Peters who survives. Also surviving is one son, Jeffrey Edmond and wife Rhonda of Hodgesville, WV; four grandsons, Elijah Shanholtz and Isaiah Edmond both of Buckhannon, Stephen Beatty of CA and Samuel Pringle of Buckhannon; six granddaughters, Nicole DeJesus and husband Emmanuel of Harrisonburg, VA, Brittany Edmond of Raleigh, NC, Icie Edmond and Rachel Long both of Buckhannon, Ginny Linger and husband David of Tallmansville, WV and Joanna Landers of Buckhannon; six great-grandsons, Alexavier, Alisder, Blake, Stephen Jr., Hayden and Lucas; three great-granddaughters, Isebella, Maddison and Raeylnn “ Scout”; one brother, Richard Edmond and wife Nora of Clarksville; three sisters, Joretta Joy Poling and husband Robert Dale of Beach Grove, AR, Shelby Jean Moreland and Sharon Edmond both of Philippi ; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Kenneth and Robert Keith Edmond and one sister, Kay Sue May. Mr. Edmond was a Maintenance Supervisor for Folger’s Library of Shakespeare and a member of the Buckhannon Union Mission Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Thursday at the Buckhannon Union Mission Church with the Rev. Dennis Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery in Philippi, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
