Obituary of Vera Linger Farley

Vera Linger Farley Vera Linger Farley, age 57, of Heavner Grove Rd Buckhannon, WV, lost her battle with cancer and went to be with her maker on July 5, 2016. She was born August 17, 1958 in Newport News, VA, a daughter of the late Dale Everett and Margarete Frances Craft Linger. On November 23, 2004 she married the love of her life, Roy Allen Farley who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Steven Christopher Westfall and wife Nina Friend of Bowling Green, KY and Jackie Wayne Westfall and wife Amy Dever of Buckhannon; one stepson, Bobby Allen Farley; ten grandchildren, Matthew Shane and Ashley BreAnn Westfall and Layla Rhea Hite all of Buckhannon, KC Jane and Blaine Christohper Westfall both of Bowling Green, Taylor Marie, Emmalee Dawn and Trenton Wayne Westfall all of Massillon, OH; two step grandchildren, Trinity and Trenton Farley both of Weston, WV; two brothers, James Andrew Linger and wife Diane of York County, VA and Jackie Edward Linger of Harpers Ferry, WV; five sisters, Wanda Louise Musgrove and husband Donnie of Fairmont, WV, Donna JoAnne Parks of Bridgeport, WV, Rita Paulette Shipman of Buckhannon; Wilma Kay Bennett and companion Ronald McCrea of York County and Linda Marie Johnson of Glouster, VA and several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Dale and Darius Wayne Linger and one sister, Margaret Ellen Branson Tenney. Vera was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. She was a Registered Nurse with a BSN. Vera loved her family and her grandchildren were her world. She worked at Holbrook Nursing Home, since 1987, as a care plan coordinator. Vera also said that Holbrook’s was her life not just a job. She loved her patients and their families, Her hobbies included her flower beds, working outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 8 PM with the Rev. Wease Day officiating.
