Lucille M. Blake, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born July 15, 1936 in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of the late Basil McCoy and Garnet Williams Post. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Blake and one brother, Basil McCoy, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Winslow of Buckhannon and Sharon Lantz Bennett of Adrian, WV; one son, George Lantz and Bonita of Buckhannon; grandchildren, Chelsea Winslow of Sheridan, WY, Christopher Winslow and wife Stephanie of Philippi, WV, John Winslow and wife Brittany of Moorefield, WV; Corey, Kaitlin and Callie Lantz and Amber and Doug Bennett all of Buckhannon and great-granddaughter, Miranda Winslow of Philippi; one sister, Mabel Reed and husband Carl of Buckhannon; one brother, Albert Dunn of Fairfax, VA and friend and caregiver, Juanita Andrew of French Creek, WV. Mrs. Blake loved to get fast food and to go to the Hill Top for a picnic; her favorite food was cornbread and buttermilk. She loved watching cartoons, coloring in her book and stuffed animals. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 12 Noon until 1 PM the funeral hour with Pastor Jason Allen and Pastor Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
