untitled1 Juanita Fern Rowan Juanita Fern Rowan, age 80, of Mount Clare, WV died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at her home. She was born June 27, 1930 a daughter of the late Oakey M. and Daisy Bell Trusler Malcolm. On January 10, 1970 she married Okel “Okey” Carl Rowan who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, David M. George of Buckhannon, WV; one daughter, Jennifer Hefner and husband Randy of Mount Clare; four granddaughters, Makenzie “Kenzie,” Madison “Maddie,” Haley and Cetara Hefner all of Mount Clare and one niece Mary “Betty” Kanoufs Stalnaker of Buckhannon who was raised by Daisy Bell and Oakey Malcolm. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Violet Rhodes, Anna Kanoufs and Zena Street. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church at Tallmansville, WV and was a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School in 1948. She attended WV Business College and graduated with a two-year business degree. Friends will be received Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Christa Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery in Lost Creek, WV. Online Condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
