Obituary of Betty Jane Nethken

untitled3 Betty Jane Nethken Betty Jane Nethken, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at her home. She was born July 15, 1939 in Kedron, WV a daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Shreve Nethken. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Ralph Lee Casto. She is survived by one daughter, Helen Burnside and husband Dirk of Buckhannon; one son, Cecil “Marty” Casto, Jr., and wife Sharon of Oakboro, NC; two granddaughters, Kara Casto of Buckhannon and Ann Horrmann and husband Chad of St. Paul, MN; three grandsons, Chad M. Casto of Oakboro, Bruce Burnside and wife Meg of Fairfax, VA and Philip Burnside and wife Elizabeth of Haymarket, VA; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lou Ella Teter and husband Bill, Judy Simmons and husband Ray and Jean Rohr and husband Martin all of Buckhannon, Connie McLaughlin and husband Terry of Littleton, CO and Donna Currence and husband Rick of Palm Harbor, FL and three brothers, Ralph David Nethken of Beverly, WV, Bobby Nethken and wife Debbie of White Hall, WV and Kenna Nethken and partner Cheryl of Seaford, DE. Mrs. Nethken was an honorary member of the Upshur County Emergency Squad and had worked for Moore Business Forms as a Payroll Clerk. Friends will be received Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Sherman Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV.
