“Rudy” Charles Oden Claypool
“Rudy” Charles Oden Claypool, age 62, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at his home. He was born June 7, 1955, in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Franklin and Ellen Canter Claypool. On February 22, 1977, he married Millie Riffle who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Charles Claypool, Jr. and wife Brandy and Matthew Claypool and wife Beverly all of Buckhannon; one grandson, Chaz Claypool of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Alyssa and Emily Claypool both of Buckhannon; two step sons, Hunter and Logan Freeman; three step daughters, Lexi, Jerika and Marika Freeman; two brothers, Roy Lee Claypool and wife Jeanne and Jerry “Mud Turtle” Claypool all of Claypool Hollow, WV; six sisters, Betty and Linda Claypool both of Claypool Hollow, Barbara Smith and husband Ernie of Heaston Ridge, WV, Sherry Gould of Hackers Creek, WV, Bonnie Neal and husband Joe and Martha Peck all of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell “Son” Claypool and Franklin “Brother” Claypool, Jr. and two sisters, Margie Norman and Helen Claypool. Mr. Claypool was a truck driver for Alcon/Central. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4357 in Buckhannon and loved to hunt. Friends will be received Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8 PM with the Rev. Chad Lewis officiating.
