Obituary of Roscoe L. Rexroad

untitled1 Rev. Roscoe L. Rexroad Rev. Roscoe L. Rexroad, age 91, of Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins, WV died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. He was born May 24, 1919 in Upshur County, WV a son of the late James Letcher and Sarah Alice Frum Rexroad. On November 30, 1938 he married Eva Gladwell who preceded him in death on September 19, 2009. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and C. Arden Rexroad and three sisters, Iva Martin, Bessie McGowen and Fonda Mick. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rexroad served in the U.S. Navy During WWII. He was a member of the United Brethren Church and a minister. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Sue Lowther officiating. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside.
