Clifford D. Loudin, Sr., age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Louis A. Johnson V.A. Nursing Facility in Clarksburg, WV. He was born October 21, 1931 in Buckhannon, son of the late Ruhl and Vera Cutright Loudin. On June 11, 1956 he married LouAnna Young who preceded him in death on January 20, 2016. He is survived by two daughters, Gail Yoakum and husband Gary of Buckhannon and Melinda Ball of Stevens City, VA; one son, Clifford Loudin, Jr. and wife Kathy of Scranton, PA; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Loudin served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW Post # 3663 and Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion. He was an avid hunter. Also he was a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church of Buckhannon. Friends will be received at the Sand Run Baptist Church on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 10 AM – 11 AM the funeral hour with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Excelsior, WV. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors at the gravesite.
