untitled1 Lois Jean Rice Lois Jean Rice, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born August 5, 1935 in Queens, WV, a daughter of the late Roy F. and Mary Margaret Grogg Armstrong. On September 2, 1951 she married Richard Lairl Rice who preceded her in death on June 15, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Genevieve “Tottie” Smith. She is survived by three sons, Jerry W. Rice of Buckhannon, Richard L. Rice of Brownhill, PA and Randy G. Rice of Tallmansville, WV; three granddaughters, Erinn Rice of Louisville, KY, Erica Rice of Ona, WV and Christan Marie Small of Buckhannon; three grandsons, R.W. Rice and Richard D. Rice both of Tallmansville and Randy Neal Rice of Buckhannon; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Duard “Buck” Armstrong of Wheeling, WV; one sister, Kathleen “Katie” Blakley of Warren, OH and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rice retired from Kroger’s and was an EMT. She was a member of the End Time Ministries. Graveside Services will be held 10 AM on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV with the Rev. Jerry Murrell officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund, c/o Patty Strader, 44 College Ave., Buckhannon, WV 26201.
