Obituary of Pamela Dawn Hawkins

Pamela Dawn Hawkins Pamela Dawn Hawkins, age 52, of Buckhannon, WV passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 27, 1964 in Buckhannon, a daughter of Wilma Hamner Phillips of French Creek, WV and the late John F. Phillips. On June 30, 1984 she married Voris Arnold Hawkins who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Voris Andrew and Jon Michael Hawkins both of Buckhannon; one daughter, Stephanie Hawkins of Weston, WV; one grandson, Waylon Hawkins (Monkey Butt) of Weston; one grandchild on the way; two brothers, Robert Phillips and wife Lisa of Buckhannon and Steven Phillips and wife Carolyn of French Creek; two sisters, Gloria Fisher and husband David of Buckhannon and Deb Ryan and husband Franklin of French Creek; two sisters-in-law Pam Cogar and significant other Hubert Gregory of Adrian, WV and Candy Russell of French Creek and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother, John W. Phillips; sister-in-law, Eleene Phillips and nephew, Mathew Phillips. Mrs. Hawkins was a dietary cook at Holbrook on the Hill and attended the French Creek UMC. Pamela was a devoted wife, mother and Mamaw. She loved the outdoors and some of her favorite past times were camping, backpacking with her family and helping out with Boy Scouts. Friends will be received Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor David Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery in Selbyville, WV.
