Obituary of Doris Laverne Hinkle

Doris Laverne Hinkle, age 82, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at her home. She was born July 2, 1934 in Bell County, TX, a daughter of the late Loy Russell and Nellie Annette Halpain Stubblefield. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Eugene Hinkle who died on November 1, 2008; also one brother, William Stubblefield; two half-sisters and one half-brother. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Walton and husband Harold E. Walton, Jr. of Buckhannon; one son, Ronald Lee Hinkle and wife Elizabeth of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Benjamin Wilson Claypool, Thomas Joseph O’Neill III and Jarob Paul Hinkle all of Buckhannon, Christopher Ron Henckel of Wellington, New Zealand and Daniel Lee Hinkle of Erie, PA; seven granddaughters, Christy Leona Taylor of Belton, TX, Carrie Marie Perry, Sabrina Annette Loudin, Katie Kennedy, Jency Rebecca Casto and Elizabeth Anne Ingold all of Buckhannon and Janelle Kathleen Geib of Kyle, TX; thirty-two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Betty Farley of Moody, TX and Mary Levy of Waco, TX. Mrs. Hinkle was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and also active with the Upshur County Genealogical Society. Friends will be received Monday, October 3, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Tuesday at the church with Bishop Steve Linger officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park.
