Obituary of Leland Donzel Romine
Please share a memory of Leland to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Leland Donzel “Don” Romine was entrepreneur and jack of all trades specialized in working on cars and machining, “Don” feared nothing and taught everyone he met that anything is possible and you’re never too old. Unfortunately, on October 14, 2016, at the age of 87, Don passed away before he could fulfill his next dream of becoming Donald Trump’s Secret Service. He is now joking and having adventures in heaven with his beautiful wife, Martha Jean Mayberry Romine, his mother, Ulcie “Ada” Mick Romine, and father, Ray Depoy Romine, his brothers, Reland Ray Romine and Deland Junior Romine, second wife, Nancy L. Zumbrogle, and five grandkids. Left behind to carry on his legacy are: his children, endearingly referred to as “Big Dummies” Amberle (Philip) Jenkins, Denalea (Ray) Cobb, David Wayne Romine, Carolyn (Rick) Weaver, Christina Romine, Belinda Dawn (Larry) Bockrath, a sister Garnetta Marlene Trivandian, 10 grandkids lovingly referred to as “Big Shorties”, and 12 great grandkids lovingly referred to as “little shorties” and “wee little shorties”. He was living proof that life is an adventure and you should always have a story to tell. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery in Buckhannon at a later date, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
