Obituary of William Cummings

William Cummings William Cummings, age 90, of Ravenna, OH died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Akron City Hospital in Akron, OH. He was born July 14, 1926 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late William Henry and Thelma Fidler Cummings. On February 27, 1949 he married Myrtle Marie Cowger who survives. Also surviving are two sons, David Neil and Ricki Lee Cummings both of Akron. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Cummings and one daughter, Nancy Lynn Cummings. Mr. Cummings served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the French Creek Chapter #36 D.A.V. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 12 Noon until 3 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lorentz Cemetery, in Lorentz, WV with Rev. Eddie Bender officiating.
