Clyde M. Tenney, age 67, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born December 9, 1948 in Hemlock, WV a son of the late Basil and Gwendolyn Opal Moats Tenney. On June 27, 1970 he married Mary Arbogast Tenney who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Todd Michael Tenney and wife Patty of Tallmansville, WV and Gary Allen Tenney of Buckhannon; one Grandson, “Little Buddy” Cameron Michael Tenney of Tallmansville; two special angels, Brittany Kelley and Elijah Arbogast both of Buckhannon; three brothers, Shawn Tenney and wife Tammy, Carroll Tenney and wife Rosalie, and Terry Tenney and wife Judy all of Buckhannon; four sisters, Wanda Matthews and husband Kenny of Buckhannon, Jean Gifford and husband Jim of Buckhannon, Loretta Stump of Indiana, PA, and Norma Cook of Amissville, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tenney was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Tenney. Mr. Tenney served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Hemlock Community Mt. Olive Cemetery Association. He was proud to be a member of the Barbour County Mine Rescue Team. Clyde loved the outdoors, especially Hemlock and he was a best friend to everyone who knew him. Friends will be received Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church in Hemlock with Pastors Holly J. Hoover and James L. Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery at Hemlock, with the Upshur County Honor Guard providing Military Honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hemlock Community Mt. Olive Cemetery Association via 67 High School Avenue, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
