Obituary of Ruby Ann Carpenter

Ruby Ann Carpenter, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her home. She was born January 24, 1932 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Keral and Ina Cunningham Marsh. On September 13, 1949 she married Charles Carpenter who survives. Also surviving are one son, Larry Carpenter and wife Deborah of Buckhannon; one daughter, Vicki L. Posey and husband Stephen of Buckhannon; one Grandson, Sean Ford and wife Lindsey of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Lyndsi Cress and husband Rob and Megan Posey all of Buckhannon and Calli Fox and husband Doug of Dailey, WV , Susan Grasty and husband David of TN; three great grandsons, Blake and Brody Hosaflook and Rowen Ford all of Buckhannon; one great granddaughter, Avery Fox of Dailey; one sister, Wanda Kesling of Kesling Mill, WV; four brothers, Kelcel Marsh, Bill Marsh and wife Ilene all of Kesling Mill, Garrett Marsh and wife Sandra of Buckhannon and Donald Marsh and wife Carol of Georgia and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by one brother, Max Marsh and one half-sister Kay Giammaria. Mrs. Carpenter was a homemaker and a member of the Buckhannon Country Club. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bunco, making quilts and was an avid gardener. Friends will be received Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Church Cemetery in French Creek, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
