Obituary of Wiley Livingston Byers

Wiley Livingston Byers of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Nov. 5, 2016 at 11:00 am. at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Even though he had several health problems, death was unexpected. Wiley was born Nov. 12, 1949 in Morgantown, a son of Jack B. Byers and Bettie Simpson Byers, both deceased. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years Mary Gayle Barrett Byers; son, Barrett Byers (wife Elisa, and grandson, Gibson) of Pine Bluff, MO; daughter, Lauren Byers and her companion Bill Compton; sister Bonnie Byers Alkire (husband David G. Alkire.) Wiley’s two children are each expecting new grandchildren in February. Wiley was predeceased by infant son, Aaron Reid Byers, on April 1, 1975. Surviving are his step-mother, Faye Radabaugh Byers; step-sister Barbara Fultz (Steve); step-brothers Blaine Radabaugh (Shirley), Charles Radabaugh (Ellen), and Edward Radabaugh. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Wiley donated his body to The Human Gifts Registry of the WVU School of Medicine for study of the affects of chemotherapy on healthy organs. A Celebration of Life will be held 3 PM on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at at Clarksburg First Presbyterian Church, 175 W. Main St., Clarksburg, WV 26301.
