Obituary of Wavelene Tenney

Wavelene Tenney Wavelene Tenney, age 87, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home. She was born June 28, 1929 in Upshur Co., WV, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Letha Reed Zickefoose. On November 2, 1946 she married Josiah "Joe" R. Tenney who preceded her in death onNovember 15, 2004. She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Tenney, Luena Greene, Joyce Davis and husband Kerry and Sherrie Bush and husband David all of Buckhannon; five granddaughters, Lacey Tenney, Amberly Stump and husband Josh, Amy Trent and husband Tim, Jody Rexroad and husband Jason and Kristi Riner all of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Kendall Tenney of Buckhannon and Zachary McDaniels of Augusta, GA; eight great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Tenney was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Buck Smith and the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery in Hemlock, WV.
