Obituary of George Russell Gainer

George Russell “Rusty” Gainer, age 59, of West Union, WV died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born August 10, 1957 in Elkins, WV, a son of the late Lynn and Mary Holland Gainer. He is survived several friends Tonda Haller of Philippi, WV; Scott Yeo; one half-brother, William “Bill” Gainer and wife Tina of South Windsor, CT and several other close friends; and beloved cats Calli and Fred. In addition to his parents, Rusty was preceded in death by his sister Katherine “Kathy” Holland Sbarra. Mr. Gainer was an electrician. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and was also an Eagle Scout. He was a radio/remote control airplane enthusiast. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
