Obituary of Debbie Thacker Wilfong

Debbie Thacker Wilfong, age 62, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at her home in Buckhannon. She was born February 28, 1954 in Buckhannon, a daughter of Phyllis Martin Thacker of Buckhannon and the late Neale Thacker. On November 30, 1985 she married Jerry Wilfong who survives. Also surviving are one son, Nick Wilfong and wife Sam of French Creek, WV; one granddaughter, Brooke Wilfong of French Creek; one brother, Steve Thacker and wife Joyce Harris-Thacker of Buckhannon; one sister Tina Del Thacker Mullendore and husband Doug of Blacksburg, VA; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Shultz. Mrs. Thacker Wilfong was the County Clerk for Upshur County. She was a member of the WV County Clerks Association, Upshur County Republican Committee, Women of the Moose #598, Treasurer for the Buckhannon-Upshur Class of ’72 and was an avid West Virginia Mountaineer fan. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Monday, December 26, 2016 from 4 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held 11AM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
