Obituary of Margaret Jane McKisic McCartney

Margaret Jane McKisic McCartney, age 80, of Crawford, WV died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home. She was born April 19, 1936 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Wimer McKisic. On June 1, 1955 she married Delbert McCartney who survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Thelma Billingslea of Warren, PA and Vera DuVerger of Flanagan, IL; several nieces and nephews; special nephews, Jerry Haymond and wife Joyce of Crawford, WV and Kenneth Walton of Wilsontown, WV and a sister in law, Joyce McCartney and husband Cecil of Crawford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee McCartney and one brother, Roy McKisic. Mrs. McCartney was a homemaker. She was a member of the Heaston Ridge United Methodist Church. Mrs. McCartney loved her family and was an avid gardner. She loved her animals, especially her sheep. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 9-11 AM the funeral hour with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Burial will follow in the Heaston Ridge Church Cemetery in Heaston Ridge, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
