Obituary of Jimmy R. Perry

Jimmy Ralph Perry, age 63, of French Creek, WV, died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at his home. He was born May 23, 1953 in Elgin, IL, a son of the late Richard and Margie Norris Perry. On October 30, 2001 he married Louwana Poling who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Allan Lee Pennington and wife Karleen of NC, Jason Dale Pennington and wife Chastity of Buckhannon, WV, Raymond Lynn Pennington and wife Ashley Carleen of Selbyville, WV and Tyler Wayne Pennington and wife Kimberly of Burnsville, WV; seven grandsons, Jackson Leonard of NC, Jonathan Beckner of Buckhannon, Wyatt Pennington, Chase Pennington of Selbyville, Mason Pennington of Burnsville, Brandon Pennington of Buckhannon and Karter Pennington of Selbyville; two granddaughters, Isabella and Emily Pennington both of Buckhannon; two brothers, William “Bill” Perry and wife Lori and Chuck Perry all of Belvidere, IL; one sister, Kathy Geishert and husband Terry of Rockford, IL; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Bandit, Abby and Zoe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Perry, Jr and two sisters, Phyllis Maggard and Susan Shearrer. Mr. Perry served in the US Air Force. He was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter # 36 of French Creek. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and loved taking care of his chicken. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 12 Noon – 2 PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. The Upshur County Honor Guard will be conducting Military Honors at the funeral home. Per his request, Mr. Perry will be cremated.
