Obituary of Robert Melvin Shreve

Robert Melvin Shreve, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, January 29, 2017 at his home. He was born November 23, 1933 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Hazel Talbott Shreve. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Mills Shreve and two brothers, Wilson “Mike” Shreve and Paul Shreve. He is survived by one son, Terry Alan Shreve and wife Karen of Grantsville, WV; two daughters, Judy L. Metheney and husband Robert of Webster Springs, WV and Debra Summerfield and husband David of Atlanta, GA; four grandsons, Adam Radabaugh and wife Laurie, Travis Radabaugh, Clinton Radabaugh and wife Nicole and Brent Metheney and wife Jody all of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Kalyn Gibson and husband Matt of Buckhannon and Lora Lee Spurlock and husband Brett of Atlanta; fourteen great-grandchildren; a special friend, Janice Lantz of Buckhannon and two sisters, Verla Lamb of Elkins, WV and Wanda Harris and husband Junior of Hughsville, MD. Robert was a Refractory Finisher at Corharts and attended the Church of Christ. Mr. Shreve enjoyed working on engines or motors any chance he could get. Per his request, Mr. Shreve will be cremated.
