Obituary of Martha Ann Beckner

Martha Ann Beckner, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, February 16, 2017. She was born March 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Roy and Mary Florence Crites Mackey. On March 5, 1983, she married William “Bill” Beckner who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Linda Rollins and husband John of Buckhannon; one son, Teddy Zickefoose and wife Ramona of Buckhannon; one step son, Michael Beckner and wife Julie of Glenville, WV; four granddaughters, Jayme and Ashley Zickefoose both of Buckhannon, Lauren Hinzman of Weston, WV and Hannah Beckner of Glenville, WV; one grandson, Brandon Zickefoose and wife Tiare of Buckhannon; six great granddaughters, Alexis and Madison Nine and Piper and Brooklyn Zickefoose all of Buckhannon and Brynlea and Bevyn Hinzman of Weston and one great grandson, Levi Stump of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Charles Mackey and one sister, Evelyn Detrick Reed. Mrs. Beckner was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a clerk at Krogers and a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church. Per her request Mrs. Beckner will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
