Obituary of John C. Ward

John C. Ward, II, age 65 of Buckhannon, WV passed away on Sunday morning at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV while surrounded by family. Mr. Ward was a retired teacher, former Pack Leader of Cub Scout Pack 128 and Assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 128 where he will be greatly missed by students and scouts. Mr. Ward was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, was a wonderful father, loving husband, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was the son of the late Lucile M. Ward and John C. Ward and an active member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Lori Ward of Buckhannon, daughter Katherine Ward of Martinsburg, son John Ward, III and daughter-in-law Kristen Ward of Richmond, VA; sisters Marsha Snyder and husband James of Bridgeport and Tina Ward of Grafton; niece, Lydia Ward of Grafton and nephew, Kurtis Ward of Morgantown. Friends will be received Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 3 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Point Pleasant Church Cemetery in Abbott, WV.
