Obituary of Bernard Carrell Lloyd

Bernard Carrell Lloyd, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, February 27, 2017 at Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born March 4, 1936 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Oren Lester and Thelma Irene Lower Lloyd. On October 20, 1958 he married Violet Maxine Butcher who died June 9, 2009. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one daughter, B. Carol Lloyd; one grandson, Brandon T. Sesco; two brothers, Clyde and Steve Lloyd and one sister, Teresa Lloyd. He is survived by three daughters, Dorothy E. Sesco and Donna S. Lloyd both of Buckhannon and Darlene M. Polk and husband David of Monroe, NC; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Oren “Bill” Lloyd and wife Thelma and Charles Lloyd and wife Norma all of Buckhannon and one sister, Martha Channell and husband Billy of Buckhannon. Mr. Lloyd served in the US Army during Korean Conflict and was a carpenter. Friends will be received Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 1-3 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 3 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Junior Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors at the gravesite. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
