Melvina “Millie” Hirzel, age 87, of Elkins, WV died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She was born December 15, 1929, in Marlinton, WV, a daughter of the late Amos and Ida Mae Burgess George. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harmon and Dempsey George. Surviving are three daughters, Brandi Miller and husband Morgen of Buckhannon, WV, Jennifer Young of Elkins and Tina Hirzel of Hillsboro, WV and four grandchildren Zeb, Zane and Devon Young and Emma Miller. Ms. Hirzel was the owner of Millie’s Lodging in Marlinton. Per her request, Ms. Hirzel will be cremated. A memorial gathering will be 2-4 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Marlinton Presbyterian Church in Marlinton, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstlcair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
