Obituary of Virginia White

Virginia White, age 95, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital NCF in Buckhannon. She was born November 9, 1921 in French Creek, WV, a daughter of the late Fred S. and Verna E. Barb Riffle. On September 12, 1940 she married Harold F. “Tony” White who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda White; two brothers, Willis and John Riffle and four sisters, Genevieve Beer, Lucille Simons, Naomi Henline and Patricia Posey. She is survived by one son, Randy White and wife Melissa of Vero Beach, FL and one grandson, Aaron White of Harrisonburg, VA. Mrs. White was a homemaker. She attended Liberty Baptist Church of Buckhannon and was a member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Aux. She worked as a senior companion and on the 3rd floor at the St. Joseph’s Nursing Care Facility. Friends will be received Friday, April 14, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor John Hinkle and the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Chapel Church Cemetery in French Creek, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
