Obituary of Carolyn Paulette Lantz

Carolyn Paulette Lantz, age 69, of Martinsburg, WV, died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, WV. She was born May 18, 1947 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Dennis and Dorthy Pletcher Lantz. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one great niece, Kaelyn Haberman. She is survived by one sister, Linda McLaughlin and husband Lee of Charles Town, WV; nieces, Emily Seal and husband Shane and Megan McLaughlin all of Charles Town; nephew, Ryan McLaughlin and wife Laura of Martinsburg; great nieces, Eva, Mia, Addison, Carson and Jade McLaughlin all of Martinsburg and Alyssa and Lyla Haberman of Charles Town; God Child, Morgan Perrine of Ravenswood, WV and God Parents, Steve and Vida Perrine of Ravenswood. Carolyn was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma sorority. She taught for 42 years, one school being the Henry J. Kaiser Elementary School. She was a member of the following Education Associations; NEA, WVEA and JCEA. She was also a member of the St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild. Friends will be received Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 11 AM until 12:30 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 12:45 PM Thursday at the Heavner Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Manning officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane Kearneysville, WV 25430. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
