Obituary of Gerald R. Workman

Gerald R. Workman, age 66, of French Creek, WV died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his home. He was born March 14, 1951, in Weston, WV, a son of the late James Lloyd and Media Harris Workman. Surviving are his companion, Debra Woody of French Creek; one son, Gerard Workman of Buckhannon, WV; four daughters, Kristy Hall and husband Dusty of Weston and Misty Mersier and husband Pierre, Whitney Knipe and husband Franklin and Danielle Workman all of Buckhannon; one step daughter, Misty Woody of Fairmont, WV; ten grandchildren; one step grandson; one brother, Gary Workman of Walkersville, WV and one sister, Patty Workman of Harrisonburg, VA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one step son, Chris Woody; five brothers, Howard, Junior, Eddie, Mack and Gale Workman and four sisters, Carrie Virginia Workman, Joy Workman, Judy Hinkle and Betty Ann Smith. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1 PM with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechtown Cemetery in Frenchton, WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at WV Hospice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
