Obituary of Mary Lou Armentrout

Mary Lou Armentrout, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born October 25, 1933 in Gilmer County, WV, a daughter of the late Sherman G. Grose and Cotha M. White Grose. On December 24, 1955 she married the late Billy Marvin Armentrout. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Henry, Hunter & Robert Armentrout. Mother and Father-in-law Forrest R. and Bessie Eubank Armentrout and one niece Brenda Scranta. She is survived by one “adopted” granddaughter, Shayla Nott and sons Parker & Connor of Astor, FL; one “adopted” grandson, Cory Surface of Astor; two brothers-in-law John Armentrout and wife Margaret of Berkeley Springs, WV and Richard Armentrout and wife Kathy of Beckley, WV; five sisters-in law, Phyllis Holloway and husband Homer of Buckhannon, WV, Marguerite Groganlons of Lodi, OH, Sharon Weaver of Jane Lew, WV, Edith Williams and husband Howard of Point Pleasant, WV and Sandy Armentrout of Buckhannon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Armentrout was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and worked as the Lee County Clerk of Courts. Friends will be received Monday, June 12, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 PM. The funeral service will follow at 12 PM with Pastor Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Burnsville, WV. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Faith Baptist Church, PO Box 2402, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
