Rosalie Mann Keister, age 91, formally of Rainelle WV, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Ellamore, WV. She was born May 18, 1926 in Ronceverte, WV a daughter of the late Russell and Hazel Surber Mann. On April 24, 1947 she married Carl A. Keister who preceded her in death on August 29, 1987. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Keister Grubb and husband Don of Ellamore, WV and Laura Keister Goddard of Jesup, GA; a son, Mark Keister of Jekyll Island, GA; two grandsons, Trevor Taylor and wife April of Morgantown, WV and Shawn Goddard and wife Sara of Pompano Beach, FL; two granddaughters, Iestyn Taylor Bright of Elkins, WV and Kirsten Keister Bragg and husband Jonathan of Quinwood, WV; five greatgrandchildren, Beau Bright, Caleb and Brooks Taylor, Hannah and Samantha Goddard. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Mann, Jr. and a sister Charlotte Mann Frost. Rosalie was amongst the graduating class of 1944 from Rainelle High School and was a member of the National Honors Society and the Glee Club. For over 27 years she worked as the head bank teller for Western Greenbrier National Bank she later became the bookkeeper for Little Cumberland Island Association, GA. Rosalie loved to bowl and she and her husband were owners of Greenbrier Bowling Lanes for several years. She loved to crochet and work crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds and collecting sea shells and shark’s teeth from Little Cumberland Island, GA. Rosalie was a member of the Rainelle United Methodist Church. Friends will be received to celebrate her life and cherish her memories at a memorial service on August 5, 2017 at 12PM inside the Mausoleum at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, 16155 Midland Trail West, Crawley, WV 24931.
