James “Ronnie” Liggett, age 63, of New Hope Road, Rock Cave, WV, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2018, with his friends by his side at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. “Ronnie” was born in Logan, WV, on July 12, 1954, the son of the late Annis and Louise Harless Liggett. He is survived by his uncle, Harold Harless of Old Fort, NC; his aunts, Wanda (Harless) Vance of Waynesville, NC and Helen (Harless) Webb of Ethel, WV and an abundance of friends in and around the Rock Cave area. “Ronnie” was previously employed by the WV Department of Highways, Harper Lumber Company, R & M Guns and Tri-County Trading. In honor of his wishes, Ronnie will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Rock Cave Baptist Church with Pastor David Jessie officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends and family request that donations be made to the “Ronnie” Liggett Memorial Fund, c/o Jo Davison, 84 Pendleton Drive, Crawford, WV 26343. A benefit auction for Ronnie’s final expenses and donations to the memorial fund in his name will be held 10 AM Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Arlington Community Building. Special thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospital, United Hospital Center, Dr. Paul Brager, Dr. Long, Dr. Pearson, Dr. Oates, WV Hospice and all staff for their loving care and support.
