Obituary of Margaret Annabell Ratliff

Margaret Annabell Ratliff, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Hospice Care Corporation in Morgantown, WV. She was born August 12, 1932 in Adolph, WV, a daughter of the late Cecil and Zelda Carlson Brown. On February 11, 1950, she married Billy Junior Ratliff who preceded her in death on March 28, 2015. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Lou Ratliff Ferrell Carpenter and eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Diana Mallett of Buckhannon; one son, Steven Wayne Ratliff and wife Margaret “Marty” of Buckhannon; one grandson, Andy Bargeloh and wife Jessica of Hickory, NC; four granddaughters, Amy Nicole Radabaugh and husband Jeff of Bridgeport, WV, Stephanie April Ratliff of Quiet Dell, WV, Lisa Marie Talbert and husband Shawn and Stacie Nicole Biro and husband Andy all of Fairmont, WV; three great-granddaughters, Brynn Collie Radabaugh of Bridgeport, Anna Grace Bargeloh of Hickory and Ellie Biro of Fairmont; one great-grandson, Owen Marshall Bargeloh of Hickory and several nieces and nephews. Margaret loved camping, cooking, painting and craft projects, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Ratliff was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Rupert UMC, worshiping and singing praises to her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 5-8 PM. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack M. Bohman and the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
