Obituary of David L. Stanley

David L. Stanley, age 79 of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at his home in Buckhannon. He was born April 14, 1938 in East Palestine, OH, a son of the late Pearly and Grace Pearl Cline Stanley. On December 28, 1958, he married Margaret Snider who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Ruth Ann Marino of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Andrea H. Marino of Buckhannon and Briana Marino of Charleston, WV; one grandson, Jacob Marino and wife Laura of Buckhannon; one son-in-law, Joseph A. Marino; one sister, Mildred Kendrew and husband John of PA; one brother, Denzil Stanley of AZ; one brother-in-law, Robert E. Snider of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers. Mr. Stanley was a strip mine driller and a Methodist by faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Friends will be received Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home from 12 Noon to 2 PM, the funeral hour with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Kesling Mill Cemetery in Kesling Mill, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to the Lewis/Upshur County Animal Shelter, 318 Mud Lick Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
