Raymond Clarence Davis, age 87, of Belington, WV died Friday, August 4, 2017 at Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown, WV. Raymond was born April 28, 1930 in Rowlesburg, WV, a son of the late Clarence Earl and Jesse L. Loughry Davis. On April 10, 1954, he married Patty L. Hoffman who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mike Davis and wife Kelley of Rowlesburg and Daniel Lee Davis and wife Lucille of Hedgesville, WV; one daughter, Beverly Ann Davis and David Taylor of French Creek, WV; eight grandchildren, Michael and Mary Davis, Chesapeake, VA, Eli & Jacob Davis, Rowlesburg, WV, Cindy and Willie Andrews, Stephens City, VA, Christy and Jack VanKannon, Katy, TX, Desiree and Dustin Carlyle, Buckhannon, WV, Zachery Stout, Myrtle Beach, SC, Hannah and Rudy Pabft, Myrtle Beach; eleven great-grandchildren, Abby, Ocean and Ian of Stephens City, VA, Allison, Haley and Johnny of Katy, TX, Rylen and Finley Carlyle of Buckhannon, Delilah and Marley Stout of Myrtle Beach, SC, and two sisters, Rose Frazee of Friendsville, MD and Gwendolyn Uglow of Rowlesburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Mr. Davis served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a press operator at Moore Business Forms and attended the Weaver Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Davis was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3663 and the Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion in Buckhannon. Friends will be received Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM, the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
