Obituary of George Lincoln Pizoli

George Lincoln Pizoli, age 87, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at his home. He was born February 12, 1930 in Cheswick, PA, a son of the late Antonio and Domenica Camaini Pizoli. On December 29, 1951 he married Mary Louise Fee who survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Mary Ellen Sampey and husband James of Pittsburgh, PA, Georgene Conde and husband Kevin of Buckhannon, Marcia Bates and husband Stephen of New Freedom, PA, Ann Marie Pizoli of Buckhannon, Laura Pizoli of Dublin, OH and Carolyn Pizoli and husband William Turner of Chapel Hill, NC; one son, Thomas Pizoli of Redondo Beach, CA; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one brother, William, Pizoli of Fox Chapel, PA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Pizoli. As a mining engineer graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 1954, Mr. Pizoli was passionate about his work in the mining industry in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He enjoyed the love of his large family and they meant the world to him. Friends will be received Friday, August 11, 2017 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. He will Lie in State from 2-3 PM on Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with the funeral service beginning at 3 PM with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
