Obituary of Shirley Mae Arnold

Shirley Mae Arnold, age 77, of Pursglove, WV died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown, WV. She was born October 17, 1939 in Spencer, WV, a daughter of the late Dennis Meigs and Iva Delle Nutter Matheny. On November 24, 1956, she married Billy Joe Arnold who preceded her in death on June 14, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, William Joseph Arnold; two sisters and one brother. Surviving are one daughter, Crystal Luzader and husband Denzil of Pursglove; three sons, Billy Joe Arnold, Jr. of Buckhannon, WV, Kelly Wayne Arnold and wife Melinda of Rock Cave, WV and Jerry Lee Arnold and wife Dawn of French Creek, WV; seven grandsons, Kevin Arnold of Rock Cave, Joseph Meigs Arnold and wife Nikki of Weston, WV, Nicholas Sha Arnold and wife Kaleigh of Wallace, WV, Dakota Arnold of French Creek, Steven Brown of Rock Cave, Denzil Luzader III and wife Miranda and Joshua Luzader all of Morgantown; four granddaughters, Marlana Arnold and fiancé Eric Davis and Shayla Gowers and husband Patrick all of French Creek, Shanda LeMasters of Morgantown, WV and Megan Hamner and husband Derrick of Buckhannon and 19 great grandchildren. Mrs. Arnold was a CNA and a member of the Rock Cave Baptist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Helmick and Pastor David Jessie officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
