Cora Landis, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born July 19, 1941 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late James Wilbert and Alma Ruth Osborn Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Kenneth James Landis; one great-grandson, Brier Earl Davis; one sister, Frances Cummings and four brothers, Carl J., Learl Richard, Dearl Ray and Robert Burton “Hoky” Phillips. She is survived by one son, James Landis and wife Hope of Elkins, WV; one daughter, Latheda Guinn Davis of Weston, WV; one sister, Edith Casto of Buckhannon; several grandchildren and great grandchildren;. a loving companion, Tom and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cora was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.
