Obituary of Pheba Faye Minix

Pheba Faye Minix Pheba Faye Minix, age 80, of Oakland, MD died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at her home. She was born November 10, 1935 in Ironton, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Bowens Aldridge. On June 1, 1953 she married Dayton Minix who preceded her in death on April 7, 1986. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Dayton Minix, Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Alma Glotfelty and husband Cecil of Oakland, Kathy Long of Reynoldsburg, OH and Irene Adkins and husband Gary of Mt. Lookout, WV; one son, Michael Landon Minix and wife Rita of Philippi, WV; seven granddaughters, Stacy and Lisa Minix both of WV, Andrea Hines and husband Bill of Oakland, Amy Neal and husband Cody of Falling Waters, WV, Stephanie Poe of NC and Jamie Minix and Ashley Jones both of Philippi; one grandson, Jeremy David Long and wife Nancy of Columbus, OH; seven great-grandchildren; two great-grandsons, Cameron Long of Columbus and Malaki. Mrs. Minix was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Buckhannon, WV. Friends will be received Friday, March 4, 2016 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
