Ruth Kittie Montgomery
Ruth Kittie Montgomery, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, January 11, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born October 6, 1915 in Ellamore, WV, a daughter of the late Nelson McClain and Evalena Preisse Robinson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Stanley Glover Montgomery, 2nd husband, Earl Joseph Montgomery; five brothers, Sylvester, Darrell, Kenna, Maurice Robinson and Zeno Watts, Jr. and two sisters, Vera and Aerouana Robinson. She is survived by two daughters, Kristen Montgomery and Shannon Whited and husband Freddie all of Buckhannon; two sons, Gregory Montgomery and Bradley Montgomery and wife Barbara all of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Shane Montgomery of AZ, Shawn Montgomery of FL, Regan Whited of Germany, Ryan Whited of MD and Earl Montgomery of Philippi, WV; one granddaughter, Debra McKnight of Meadow Bridge, WV; two great-grandsons, Joshua Montgomery of CA and Julien Whited of Germany; three great-granddaughters, Leah Saunders of AZ, Rachel Dennison of CO and Lena Whited of MD; six great-great-grandsons, Gavin, Logan and Griffin Saunders all of AZ, Gage and Hunter Dennison both of CO and Cole Montgomery of CA; four great-great-granddaughters, Mikenze and Riley Saunders both of AZ, Katie Dennison of CO and Tristan Montgomery of CA; one step grandson, Kyle Tubilio of MD; one step granddaughter, Joy Morrison of AL and one brother, Charles Watts of Buckhannon. Mrs. Montgomery was a 60 year member of Nay Chapel where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Sunshine Group and had worked at Reidboard for many years. Friends will be received Friday, January 15, 2016 from 2-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. She will Lie-in-State Saturday from 12- 1 PM the funeral hour at Nay Chapel with the Rev. Vickie Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Ellamore, WV. A special thank you to Mary and Sammie for their loving care.
