Obituary of Eunice Opal McKisic

Eunice Opal McKisi Eunice Opal Reed McKisic Eunice Opal Reed McKisic, age 77 of Buckhannon Run, WV died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at her home. She was born September 12, 1937 in Upshur Co., WV, a daughter of the late Elsie Gay Reed Norman. On April 21, 1953 she married the love of her life Roy McKisic and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage. In addition to her husband she is survived by four daughters, Marsha Melton and husband David, Vickie Perrine and husband Larry and Patty Heater and husband Gary all of Jane Lew, WV and Tracy Bleigh and husband Ed of Jacksons Mill, WV; four sons, Roy McKisic, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Elk View, WV, Randy McKisic and wife Lisa of Jane Lew, Bob McKisic and wife Nancy of Rock Cave, WV and Mark McKisic of Buckhannon, WV; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter, three sisters, Betty Gould and husband Dave and Barbara Norman all of Buckhannon and Margaret Lantz of Ellamore, WV; three brothers, Richard Norman of Buckhannon, Keith Norman of Ellamore and Timmy Norman of VA and her beloved dog, Ornery. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her step father, Orville Norman; one sister, Sharon Norman and two beloved dogs, Tara and Duchess. Mrs. McKisic was a homemaker and a Methodist by Faith. Eunice loved being with her family especially her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved to quilt and garden and had a strong passion for jewelry. Friends will be received Friday, July 31, 2015 from 11 AM to 1 PM the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with Pastor Delmas Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery in Rock Cave. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses.
