Obituary of Bacil Robert Mallett

Bacil Mallett Bacil Robert “Bob” Mallett, Jr. Bacil Robert “Bob” Mallett, Jr., age 68, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at UMPC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born December 17, 1945 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Bacil Blair and Rushia Jane Hinkle Mallett. On March 25, 2012 he married Diana Ratliff who survives. Also surviving are one son, Bryan Mallett of Buckhannon; one daughter, Tamela Cutright of Buckhannon; one step son, Andy Bargeloh and wife Jessica of Hickory, NC; three grandsons, Travis Mallett and wife Betheny of Buckhannon, Keythan Heater of Orlando, FL and Brandon Mallett of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Kaylea Mallett and Jenna Heater both of Buckhannon and Makenzi Cutright of Rock Cave, WV; one step granddaughter, Anna Bargeloh of Hickory; one great-granddaughter, Parker Mallett of Buckhannon; one brother, James Mallett and wife Dora of Deleons Springs, FL and one sister, Betty Pritt of Oakland, MD. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother, Lena Alberta Mallett and one sister, Lou Bryant. Bob was a Supervisor and former employee for Moore Business Form and Weyerhaeuser. He was a certified lay speaker with the United Methodist Church. Over a period of 13 years he and his good friend Jack Betler backpacked the entire length of the Appalachian Trial. He was a member of the Mt. Rupert United Methodist Church. He served with the Army National Guard for 4 years. Friends will be received Monday, December 15, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jack M. Bohman and the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Upshur County Honor Guard will provide Military Honors.
